What to check before choosing a desk footrest

Check the space under your desk, chair position and adjustment type first. Dimensions and a trial of the support are more useful than a photograph alone.

What to check before choosing a desk footrest

1. Measure the space under the desk

Check available width and depth, including desk legs, drawers and other objects. The OLSAAL footrest listing specifies 39.2 × 28.7 × 18.3 cm. This does not mean every setting has the same height: check the adjustment and leave room to move your feet.

2. Consider desk and chair together

Sit as you normally do and check how your feet are supported. Adjust the chair for your task first and make sure you can move close to the desk. A footrest is one part of the setup; it cannot by itself compensate for an overly high desk or a poorly adjusted chair.

3. Choose the adjustment you need

The OLSAAL model has three height settings and a tilting bamboo platform. Height settings change the support level; rocking changes the platform angle. These are different functions. Check stability in the chosen position and follow the assembly and use instructions before placing your feet on it.

4. Compare finishes and availability

Compare photographs of the black, grey and blue finishes. Sales currently focus on Spain. Check the selected finish, availability, price and delivery in Amazon before paying where purchase is available. This is a desk accessory, with no promise to treat pain or circulation problems.
